It WILL work in the PS4 but you need to pop the case open that holds the hard drive first. It’s a fairly simple process, if you can open your PS4 to replace the hard drive this should be no problem.

Here are some additional specs on the M9T for those who are interested in getting one now or when they become cheaper again.

There are also six models available three in 1.5TB size and three in 2TB sizes. For those specifically looking for the Seagate Spinpoint M9T 2TB the model number is ST2000LM003. You wont find Amazon specifically stating “Seagate M9T 2TB”
